Moving Forward: An Eating Concerns Process Group for Ages 30+

This group welcomes clients ages thirty and older, who want support, motivation, and encouragement as they move forward in their lives, recovering from an eating disorder. Run as a process group, this environment offers a unique space for clients to connect, challenge themselves, and progress toward their goals and values. Other focuses of the group include:

  • Focus on dynamic process in which you will better understand yourself, your current concerns, and how you relate to others.

  • Strengthen your ability to connect with others and increase commitment to lasting change

  • Combination of process focus, psycho-education, and experiential activites

  • Topics covered include: body image disturbances; nutritional concerns; effective coping skills; cognitive distortions; value-based living; balanced exercise; and mindfulness

Dr. Packard has received extensive group psychotherapy training and has led psychotherapy groups for over ten years. She runs workshops to teach other professionals about her group techniques and methods. She is passionate about group psychotherapy and believes in the power of group to create meaningful and lasting change.
